SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE REGARDING WEATHER CONDITIONS

Update from Superintendent Scarborough:

Superintendent Jerry Scarborough has announced that due to potential safety concerns for the safe transport of students to school during the time of forecasted deteriorating weather conditions, the Suwannee County School District is closing school district operations for all students and employees for Friday, September 2.

The Suwannee High School Varsity Football game vs. Fort White High School scheduled for Monday, September 5, at 6:00 p.m., at Langford Stadium, has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, September 3, at 6:00 p.m., at Langford Stadium, weather and field conditions pending.

The Branford High School Varsity Football game vs. Lafayette High School scheduled for Friday, September 2, at 7:30 p.m., in Mayo, has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, September 3, at 7:00 p.m., in Mayo, weather and field conditions pending.

All other activities and functions scheduled for Friday, September 2, have been cancelled.

The District will keep parents informed through our District webpage at www.suwannee.k12.fl.us, the district-wide parent call-out system, local radio station WQHL FM 98.1, and other news media. Please stay tuned for further information through these information outlets.
